Forres Footpaths Trust

A good number of paths have been established and free leaflets have been produced to guide both local residents and visitors to the area. These can be picked up at various locations around the town or downloaded here (All are in Adobe Acrobat format). Our recently published booklet "A Guide to Walking in Forres and The Surrounding Area" is available for purchase at various local outlets - please follow the link below (click on the booklet image).

For information about our plans beyond the current paths see Forres Footpaths Trust - The Way Forward

Cigarette ends last for up to five years.
Aluminium cans last 500 years, glass bottles 1000 years.
Plastic bags last ten to twenty years,
other plastic containers up to thirty years.
Nylon fabric can last for up to forty years,
leather for fifty years.
Discarded socks are surprisingly common
and they last for one to five years.
Orange and banana peel can endure for two years.
Tin cans will be with us for fifty years,
